MS Computer Science

The MS in CS program aims at developing professionals who are equipped with skills to cope with the diverse and ever changing field of Computer Science. The program provides students with a solid theoretical foundation along with knowledge of latest trends in specialized areas.

The two-year MS Program provides rigorous training that not only provides a reliable understanding of systems and processes and technologies but also equips them with the ability to design new and imaginative solutions to problems. Those applicants who have a background in Computer Science can complete the program in one-year by taking the required 45 units.

MS Computer Engineering

The MS Computer Engineering program has been designed to produce specialized professionals who can perform cutting edge research in selected areas of the field. Ph.D. Program

The degree of Doctor of Philosophy is conferred upon such candidates who have demonstrated their ability to conduct independent research and to present results of such research. They have shown, to the satisfaction of the Department, their command over their subject of interest and their capacity to contribute to the frontiers of knowledge. A Ph.D. candidate is fundamentally driven by the desire to advance the state-of-the-art and to discover things that no other human has ever discovered.

Our graduate program offers a variety of advance courses for students to choose from a flexibility that is not available in most other graduate program in the country. Applicants who have completed 4-year Bachelors degree, and are strongly motivated to pursue research, can directly apply for admission in the Ph.D. program. If not selected, they will be automatically considered for admission in the MS program. All graduate students can continue on towards their Ph.D. degree after clearing the Qualifier Examination.
